RIP Aaliyah
It's been a decade since the tragic death of the beautiful & talented artist Aaliyah. Her influence on the music game is still relevant today. She has inspired artists from singer-rapper Drake to pop superstar Beyonce. Ciara, who is best known for her singing & dancing moves, has an Aaliyah-inspired stage presence and dressing style. I really do believe if she were still alive today she'd STILL be at the top of the game giving other artists a run for their money. Her voice was like an angel's! RIP, Aaliyah..you will never be forgotten!

*A Woman's Worth*
Lately, I've really been in deep thought thinking about myself & other girls questioning "What do I deserve?" "What am I worth?" in a relationship or in life.. & when it comes to questions like these..not only do I but EVERY girl/woman deserve the best. We are worth everything. Nowadays, I truly believe that young girls don't recognize how special they really are. Especially when it comes to guys. It's sad to think a girl who is being mistreated or a girl who is being neglected should feel they deserve that type of treatment..when they don't. No girl ever should. Every girl should feel & be treated as if they were a princess. They should know 100% without a doubt that they are loved. & if they are caught up in a relationship where they don't feel good & held high everyday..they must know that there is someone out there who WILL do their best at making them feel AMAZING every single day. No matter the situation, the timing, how long the couple has been together, how busy they are, no excuses..he will do that for you. Because in his eyes you will be his world. Women are such special creatures & God created us each individually so beautiful in our own way. To where any man who gets to have our love will be so very lucky. See your beauty, your beauty on the inside as well as outside. & know that you possess qualities that any man would only be able to dream to have you by his side! Girls, we deserve respect, love, trust, loyalty & don't ever go a single day thinking you deserve any less. We were created to be emotional, nurturing, & loving beings because God wanted us to be able to care for those who not only need us but DESERVE US! You must know that before anyone can truly love you..you must love yourself. So know that you are special & worth all that life has to offer! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, celebrate it! :) Love & being in love is a beautiful thing.. we all deserve & are worth having the best of it!

Adrienne Bailon in OK! Magazine
Adrienne is featured in this month's OK! Magazine. Here she is showing off her new blonde locks! I'm absolutely LOVING this color/look on her. I love how her hair gets beach blonde at the tips. I'm usually a fan of darker hues but I have to say I'm def feeling this color on her. What do you think??

Do you ever hear a certain song & it automatically just puts you in a great mood & you just feel like dancinggggg, lol? Lately, I've been playing Alexandra Stan - Mr. Saxobeat on repeat! It's just one of those songs that has an infectious beat & really makes you wanna move. I love listening to this song when I'm getting ready to go out! Enjoy :)

I love Leopard!!! Hear me "RawR" :)
Leopard print. My #1 guiltiest fashion obsession. I feel people either LOVE IT or HATE IT! In all honesty..I love it (when used correctly, I'm not talking 'head to toe leopard messiness' for example: Jerseylicious hahaha) Leopard print can actually be extremely tasteful, classy, & sexy all at the same time when done correctly. & I truly believe that it has been & is going to always be a timeless trend. Below, I put together a few looks that I think really show that leopard print can be fabulous!!! Rawrrrr. ;)

Nicole Scherzinger for Marie Claire September 2011
Nicole Scherzinger is featured inside Marie Claire's September 2011 issue (US edition). In the interview with the magazine, the 33 year old beauty opens up on ambition, being a hard worker & a perfectionist, the new chapter in her life and 'Killer Love', but also on pop-reality shows & Simon Cowell. Peep Nicole's photos for Marie Claire & some interview highlights below. But for more Nicole in the mag click HERE.
Nicole Scherzinger is featured in Marie Claire's September issue. Inside the magazine, she confessed that it was her parents work ethic & a Whitney Houston cassette tape to inspire her ambition. "I definitely have the eye of the tiger. I’ve fought my way to where I am & will continue to do so. I’m a hard worker - I get it from my family. We only know work. Nothing was handed to us. When I believe in something, I go after it. It’s very hard to tell me 'no'", Nicole states.
The former Pussycat Doll is having a great year. She will be a judge on X Factor & will release her new solo album called 'Killer Love'. "I'm a perfectionist, so when I'm in it, I don't know if things are good or not. I'm like, 'Is that good? Are you sure that was good? It could have been better.' Because for me, things can always be better," the singer told the magazine.
Nevertheless, Nicole reveals she's rather the nerdy type & she doesn't try to be cool. "I'm kind of a nerd. My assistant said the other day when she was watching me get ready, 'I wish people saw this side of you. You are really a nerd.' I was rushing around, trying on different make-up — so I had like five different foundations on one side, & a bunch of different lipstick & eye pencils on the other side of my cheek — & my hair was like some crazy side-ponytail, & I was wearing two different shoes asking, 'Which one looks better? What should I do?' as I tripped everywhere. I really don't try to be cool, because I'm not," she says.

Contouring
Contouring your face with makeup has been around for a long time but I feel it's really became much more popular recently! Celebs such as the Kardashians, Lala, Eva Longoria, Mila Kunis, & Cassie (+more) have all taken on this technique. A great contoured cheek just really sculpts the face & LITERALLY can be an instant face lift!
You’ll need:
*A vivid blush color (don’t be scared—orange, bright pink, reds, corals, and reds look great in the summer especially on bronzed skin)
*A contour (can be a blush, bronzer, foundation, concealer, powder 2-3 shades darker than your skintone)
*A highlight (can be blush, bronzer, foundation, concealer, luminizer, but should be lighter than your skin)
*A blush brush and powder brush (good to have two or three so you don’t “muddy” the blush, contour, and highlight colors by mixing the shades together on accident)
Apply your blush to the apples of the cheeks, dust the contour in the hollows, & sweep the highlight shade on the tops of the cheekbones. Lightly blend where the colors meet & voila! You’re done.
