Fall Transition Look

With this look I wanted to create a classy outfit that could be worn on a night out on the town. I focused on being able to transition into Fall style & weather so a paired a leopard sweater with black dress shorts. I love the Louboutin shoe featured because its a mix between a sandal & bootie..so cute! Plus, minimal gold jewelry & a nice leather clutch. For makeup, I went with a neutral "golden" eye with false lashes to accentuate them. & for a pop of color I added a red matte lip. I wanted to go with a dark nail so I chose a black nail polish to tie in the whole transitioning into Fall theme. Let me know what you think :)

L.A.M.B. Spring 2012 Show

It was love at first sight as soon I saw Gwen Stefani's latest Spring 2012 L.A.M.B. collection!!! Each piece individually won my heart over :) & I can honestly say I would def rock everything from this presentation/collection. Gwen featured a wide range of many bold prints, military-styled & tailored jackets, long flowy gowns. Black & white were staple colors in this collection along with a bright pop of primary colors. Neutral tones & plaids were also featured in many of the styles.

Models wore beautiful maharaj-inspired gold necklaces that accentuated their looks.

One of my favorite things to do is mix really edgy pieces with girly/feminine soft pieces...& this line really took that into effect! Here, taking a rocker motorcycle leather jacket & pairing it with a feminine dress is so sexy!

Toronto Wedding

Just wanted to share a few pics (I wish I had more!!) from my cousin's wedding in Toronto I attended a couple weekends ago. The weather was absolutely beautiful & T-Dot is such an amazing city :) my family had a blast! My fam is huge & we are all really close, so getting together is always a great time.

I came across this photo & it totally touched me. It's a voicemail a man on flight 175 left his wife. It just makes you realize life is so unexpected, & your most prized possessions can be taken away from you in an instant! Tell the ones close to your heart you LOVE them, everyday. & never take your life for granted.

Fall Minimal Look

This is a look that I definitely will be creating for myself this fall! I absolutely love the contrast between nudes & black. The leather leggings & boots really create a rocker edge for this look. While the snakeskin bag adds an exotic touch. I went for a "less is more" approach with jewelry by just choosing gold hoops & a black/gold boyfriend watch. I kept the makeup minimal with neutral eyes & nude lips. & I chose a deep red nail polish for a bit of color. Kelly Rowland Covers 'Runway' Magazine

Kelly Rowland graces the Fall 2011 cover of Runway Magazine. Striking a strong pose, Kelly looks absolutely beautiful! Miss Rowland is known for empowering girls & women alike.  She encourages & promotes them to "Be strong. Love yourself. Don't be afraid to take chances." It's so inspiring to me when celebrities use their voice to promote such positive messages to the world.

In the magazine Kelly speaks about her own insecurities with her complexion and her own insecurities.

“There’s so much peer pressure growing up, I had an identity crisis. I went to a predominantly white school and I was the only black girl. I can remember thinking: ‘I don’t want to be as dark as I am – I want to be a little fairer.’ I didn’t want to be me…Tina sat me in front of the mirror and said: ‘Girl, look at how pretty you are.’ She made me feel comfortable in my own skin."
